Remco Evenepoel takes triple in Sandnes!

Several spectators made sure, that the riders enjoyed themselves at the start in Flekkefjord. 

It was a big fight to get into the breakaway and in the end a large group on 21 riders made a gap to the peloton. The riders were:  Andrey Amador (INEOS Grenadiers), Frederik Wandahl (BORA Hansgrohe), Michael Valgren and Ben Healy (EF Education - Easypost), Simone Petilli (Intermarché Wanty Gobert), Daryl Impey (Israel - Premier Tech), Michel Hessmann (Team Jumbo Visma), Remi Cavagna and Kasper Asgreen (Quick-Step Altha Vinyl team), Kevin Vermaerke (Team DSM), Alex Kirsch (Trek Segafredo), Jimmy Janssens (Alpecin - Fenix), Joel Nicolau and Jokin Murguialday (Caja Rural Seguros RGA), Nickolas Zukowsky (Human Powered Health), Kamiel Bonneu (Sport Vlaanderen - Baloise), Jonas Wilsly (Uno-X Pro Cycling), Mathias Bregnhøj (Riwal Cycling), Jesper Schultz (Team Coloquick), Andreas Stokbro and Embret Svestad-Bårdseng (Team Coop).

Joel Nicolau (Caja Rural Seguros RGA) was hunting points for the Spinn.no K.O.M. classification. He was first in on the climb to Jøssingfjorden and took over the provisional lead in the K.O.M. classification. Kevin Vermaerke (Team DSM) and Embret Svestad-Bårdseng (Team Coop) crossed the top right behind him.

There wasn't a big fight for the points at the two Coop intermediate sprints in Tengs and Brusand, where Kevin Vermaerke (Team DSM) and Jonas Abrahamsen (Uno-X Pro Cycling) took the points.  

Ben Healy (EF Education - Easypost) went on the attack on the final categorized climb to Oltedal and built up a significant advantage on more than a minute, before the riders entered the final circuit in Sandnes. At the first passing on the finish line, the rest of the breakaway was caught by the peloton, while Healy continued having a solid lead to the group behind. 

Uno-X Pro Cycling, Ineos Grenadiers and Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team wanted to give their leaders a chance to take the stage win, and started the chase on Healy. On the final climb, a small group with the favorites made an attack and catched Healy. The Irishman, Healy, shoed incredible strenght and made yet another attack, but Remco Evenepoel (Quickstep Alpha Vinyl team) took charge, catched Healy, and won his third stage at Tour of Norway 2022.
