Stage 1: Bergen – Voss, 174 km
Tour of Norway 2022 starts in Bergen on the west coast. Bergen was also the start city in the 2015 edition of Tour des Fjords. In 2016 the city hosted the finish line of the first stage of Tour des Fjords, where the former World Champion in Madison and Australian rider, Leigh Howard, won the stage.
From the start line the riders go east, where they challenge the first Coop points sprint in Bjørkheim after 39,3 km. The riders meet the first mountain sprint at the top of Fossen Bratte after 51,4 km. In Ålvik, the feeding zone waits. Shortly after, there is a Coop points sprint in Granvin after 121,5 km. and a mountain sprint at Skjervsfossen after 134,1 km.
The stage ends on an uphill section in Voss, where we find the first stage winner of Tour of Norway 2022.
